Photo Walks
Bert Jones Portrait & Design Studio plays host to a semi-regularly scheduled photo walk group.
What’s a photo walk?
My official definition of a photo walk: n. When a photographer goes on a walk somewhere familiar or unfamiliar with a camera and takes random spur-of-the-moment, un-posed photos.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Photowalking is the act of walking with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things that the photographer may find interesting.
It is usually a communal activity organized by camera clubs, online forums or commercial organization, sometimes in the form of a walking tour. Often the aim is to practice and improve one’s own photography skills.
While related to street photography, photowalking is differentiated by its impetus to photograph things of interest rather than people specifically.
Why host a photo walk?
I like to share what I have learned over the years and help others to become storytellers with their photos. By working together, sharing comments and critiques, we all develop our creative “eye” and tell a story with our craft.
